We are planning a 2021 trip to Disney World My question is should we use a stroller for our 7 year old

Hi there, Courtney! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so happy to hear from you and see that you’re heading back to Walt Disney World in 2021.

Strollers at Walt Disney World Resort are a hot topic! As a mother of two boys that are around the same age as your child, this is a frequent question that comes up for us. As a Pediatrician, I always tell families that they know their child best. You know his/her stamina and preferences better than anyone. That being said, Disney Vacations can be taxing on small children. The combination of longer days with increased walking and changes in routine can lead to different needs compared to normal day-to-day activities back home. In general, I recommend that guests consider bringing or renting a stroller at Walt Disney World for any child under age 9. This will allow for breaks and maybe even short naps if needed! Also, a stroller is a great “catch-all” while on a Walt Disney World vacation, allowing you to stash any extra bags and supplies you may enter the park with… or pick up along the way

Now, you’re probably aware that there are many options when it comes to strollers at Walt Disney World. You can certainly bring your own as long as it meets the size requirements of being no more than 31” (79 cm) wide and 52” (132 cm) long. You can also rent strollers at any of the Disney Theme Parks for either single day or multi-day use. Bonus tip: When renting at the parks you save the hassle of having to get your stroller back “home,” wherever that may be while on vacation! Lastly, there are many stroller rental services in the area, including Kingdom Strollers and Orlando Stroller Rentals, which will deliver a stroller of your choice to your Disney Resort Hotel, other hotels in the area, or even the Orlando International Airport!

Courtney, I hope you find this information helpful as you start to make your travel plans for your next Walt Disney World adventure, and I hope you will come back to see us if we can be of any help to you in the future!

    See ya real soon!
