I am planning a trip to Disney World in Orlando and I have 3 grandchildren including twin 3 year olds. I want to bring my wagon stroller into the park. Can I get a pass to have a wagon for the kids? Thanks! Leslie

    Hi Leslie,

Welcome to planDisney! It’s so wonderful that you are planning a visit to Walt Disney World Resort with your grandchildren.

Leslie, according to the Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules, wagons are prohibited at any theme park, water park, Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, and indoor venues at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. If you have another adult in your travel party, your best option might be to rent multiple strollers during your visit. One choice you may consider is Stroller Rentals within the theme parks. Single and double strollers are available for daily or multi-day rentals. Stroller rentals can be found near the entrances of each of the theme parks, and at Disney Springs. My family chooses the multi-day rental so we can return the stroller at the end of our theme park day and quickly pick up a new rental stroller the next day by showing our receipt. You can also rent single or double strollers from the Disney Featured Provider and have them delivered directly to your Disney Resort hotel.

As a mom of kids who are around the same age as your grandchildren, my top tip is to plan times in the day for them to stretch their legs and get out of the stroller. The Disney Junior Play and Dance! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has always been a hit with my children because it features several characters they love and it gives them a chance to dance and get the wiggles out!

There are also several resources that I think will be helpful as you continue to plan your visit to Walt Disney World Resort with your grandkids. There is a planning guide for visiting with preschoolers and little ones on the Walt Disney World website. You can find a series featuring some of my fellow panelists on the Disney Parks Blog about planning your visit to Walt Disney World Resort with little ones that cover dining, attractions, and selecting your Disney Resort hotel. There is also a planDisney Podcast episode with great tips for visiting with young kids! Of course, if you have any future questions, I’ll be here at planDisney to help you!

    Enjoy planning your magical vacation!
