We are planning a trip to Disney World in October 2009. My twin girls will turn 3 on the last full day of the stay, based on the dates we are looking at. Will they be eligible to participate in the dining plan? Thanks for your help!

    Hi Tiffany!

Since your daughters will be 2 when you check-in at your resort, they will be considered 2 years old for your entire stay. One of the nice things about this is that you won't have to buy park tickets for your girls. They will have free admission because children under the age of three get into all of the parks for free.

Children under the age of 3 also get to enjoy the buffet restaurants and any all-you-care-to-eat meals at no cost. You can also share your meal with your children for no added cost if you wish. However, if you choose to order something from the child's menu, you will have to pay out of pocket for this.

The only way that you can get the meal plan for your daughters would be to purchase park tickets for them as part of the vacation package. It would be much more cost effective for you to just pay for any meals you order for them out of pocket. Most selections on the children's menu are between seven and eight dollars. Any money that you might save by using the dining plan wouldn't be worth the substantial cost of paying for park admission.

I hope this helps! Have a wonderful vacation!
