We are planning to make a trip to Disney World October 2021. If we are in the park b didn’t now purchase a “Mickey not so scary Halloween party” ticket to we have to exit the park by 4pm or can we continue to stay till closing?

Hello Kelly! Welcome to planDisney! I am always happy to answer a question from a fellow Pennsylvanian!

While the Walt Disney World Resort has not announced any plans for holding Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party for 2021, I can certainly provide you with an answer based upon my previous visits to Mickey's family-friendly Halloween party!

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is held on select nights at Magic Kingdom Park from late summer (mid-August) through Halloween (or a day or so later)! The party officially kicks off at 7:00PM and concludes at midnight. Guests holding tickets for this event can typically enter the park as early as 4:00PM even though the party doesn't begin until 7:00PM. There are usually a few hours of overlap between early-arrivers for the Halloween party and those Guests holding tickets for Magic Kingdom Park.

Guests holding tickets for Magic Kingdom Park on the day of a scheduled Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, are permitted to remain in the park until regular park closing time. Those Guests are not permitted to remain once Mickey begins the Halloween festivities for the evening. The earliest that I have seen Magic Kingdom Park ticket-holders have to leave is 6:00PM. I haven't ever heard of regular park ticket holders having to leave at 4:00PM. You can always check park closing times by visiting the Disney Parks operating hours calendar! I use this calendar all of the time when planning my visit!

Kelly, when my family visits during the fall season, we always visit Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! We make that our visit to Magic Kingdom Park. We arrive at 4:00PM and stay through midnight. In doing so, we get to experience all of our favorite attractions as well as the special events that are part of the Halloween party! Seeing the Headless Horseman make his ride down Main Street, U.S.A. is such a thrill for our family! We have also captured some great moments with our children in costume as they trick-or-treat their way through Magic Kingdom! It's always a special evening that gets us in the Halloween spirit!
