Hi Michelle!
A
Fort Wilderness Walt Disney World vacation is so unique and fun. October is one of the busiest but also most festive months for a visit as well. The weather starts to take a turn for the better mid month with the humidity and temperatures starting to drop making it so enjoyable to be out of doors. Because this is a popular month be sure and get your reservations now!
I will be arriving there myself in just a few weeks and staying for a couple of months. Although I have never rented an RV as we have our own I have talked at length to guests who have used an outside company for their set-up. The most important thing is to use a reputable company that has worked with Disney. There are several of these companies listed in the
Amenities section of the Fort Wilderness site. Call each one and check out the equipment that they use as well as the cost. These companies will bring the RV to the resort and set it up for you so you never have to actually drive it yourself.
When talking to each company be sure and ask what supplies are provided and what you will need to bring yourself. Some will have the linens and towels while others ask you to provide them. Most will have the kitchens fully supplied with the equipment but you will need to bring the food.
One of the most important questions when deciding which company to use is if they will give you a good review of the use of the RV during your stay. You will want to have proper instruction. Even more important you will want to know if they have a 24 hour help and assistance available to you for your peace of mind.
Guests have loved renting an RV and it gives them a completely different but wonderful resort experience.
