We are planning a trip to Disney World for November of 2018. Is the water parks open for that period of Thanksgiving week and is the weather good for swimming?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Wendy ~

I love to see that you are planning ahead for your 2018 trip! Planning a trip is a very exciting time and keeps me a little calmer until it is time to set off on our pixie dusted trail!

The weather for Central Florida typically starts to get a little cooler in November. The average high temperature is in the mid-to-high-70s and the average low is in the high-50s. November also tends to be a drier month. Keep in mind that these are averages so be sure to check the local forecast before you finish your final packing.

Near the end of October, Disney usually closes either Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park or Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park for a few weeks for an annual refurbishment. The other water park will remain open during that time. Once they reopen that water park, they will close the other one for its annual refurbishment. Weather permitting, either Disney's Typhoon Lagoon or Disney's Blizzard Beach should be open during the week of Thanksgiving. At this point, we don't know the 2018 schedules for annual water park refurbishments. However, you are more than welcome to check back with us in a few months and we may know more about the schedules at that time.

November is a great time to visit the waters parks because the crowd levels are lower so pack your sunscreen and head on over.

Please feel free to visit us again with all of your planning questions. We are hEAR for you!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
