Hi Katie,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for your question. Bringing your little one to
Walt Disney World is such a joy, and I am so excited for you and your family!
Katie, my number one consideration when deciding which stroller to bring is comfort, both for your child and for the person pushing it. On our first trip, we didn’t bring a stroller for our oldest, and ended up purchasing a cheap umbrella stroller. We very quickly realized that maneuvering an umbrella stroller while doing tons of walking in the Florida heat was completely exhausting, and we ended up giving up on that stroller and renting a City Mini. The jogging strollers steer well, their fabulous storage is a huge bonus, and those cup holders are a lifesaver at Walt Disney World (trust me: you will have tons of drinks going, all the time).
Something else to think about is ease of folding. You’ll have to fold the stroller to get on the Disney buses, trams, and ferryboats, so if your jogging stroller has the one-handed fold mechanism, you’ll be so glad to have it. We often have a sleeping kiddo while exiting the bus, and it’s so nice to quickly and easily be able to unfold the stroller.
Keep in mind that the dimensions of your stroller must comply with Disney’s
Park Rules and be no larger than 36” x 52”.
I hope I’ve given you some things to think about as you decide what will be the best royal chariot for your prince or princess!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
