    We are planning a trip to Disney World in November. How early in the month does the special Christmas event start?

    Hi Sarah,

    Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! November 'tis the season! How exciting to plan a trip for this joyous time of year at the Walt Disney World Resort.

    Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party dates are currently posted for 2017 as November 9 - December 22. The link I provided will show you which days the party will run during your visit. Just click on "read more" in the section "Here Come Mickey and Santa" or click on "Purchase Event Ticket" and you will see the dates of the party. The decorations, snacks and character cheer are simply fabulous. Be sure to catch Queen Elsa lighting Cinderella's Castle and stay for Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. When you are in the midst of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, it really does feel as if you are in the midst of your own happily ever after fairytale.

    I also suggest the Candlelight Processional at Epcot. The storytelling and music create the kind of holiday magic that brings us all peace, joy and love. Although you do not need a separate ticket for this event, I do recommend a Candlelight Dining Package. When I checked, package dates were not available yet, but do keep checking!

    When we went to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas party this past December, the weather was actually slightly chilly and added to the spirit of the evening. Consider dressing in festive clothing, taking lots of photos with Disney PhotoPass photographers and sipping hot cocoa.
