We are planning a trip to Disney World in November 2012. My daughter loves Airel. Is there any special events with Princess Ariel?

    Hi Judy,

I'm not sure what you mean by special events, but there are a lot of opportunities for your daughter to see her favorite princess.  Character dining is the most obvious.  Now, I wouldn't tell your child you're going to dine at Akershus or Cinderella's Royal Table specifically to see Ariel. The characters who are present at those restaurants are subject to change, but the last several times I've eaten at either place Ariel has been dressed in her wedding gown, greeting guests.

Ariel is also featured in her own attraction at Hollywood Studios.  Your daughter won't get to meet her, but she'll get to watch an entire show if you visit Voyage of the Little Mermaid.

At Magic Kingdom you can currently find Ariel available for autographs and photos in Adventureland.  When the New Fantasyland opens on December 6, her home will be there.  Prince Eric has his own castle where you'll be able to ride Under the Sea - Journey of The Little Mermaid attraction.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
