    We are planning a trip to disney world next october. We are bringing our daughter for her 5th birthday. What things can you recommend for birthday celebrations? We also have a 3 year old daughter that is coming? What character things do you recommend?

    Hi Lara!  Spending a birthday at the Walt Disney Resort is truly magical.  I celebrated my daughter's 6th birthday with a surprise trip a few years back, and it was simply perfect.   I have a few ideas to help make sure both your children have an amazing time while celebrating a very big 5th birthday.

    When you arrive I suggest you pick up a happy birthday button at any guest service location on Disney property, it is sure to get your daughter lots of smiles and maybe a few extra pixie-dusted surprises.  If you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you could have the fine folks at Disney Floral and Gifts turn your guest room into a birthday party your daughter will not soon forget.  Mickey's Birthday Wish In-Room Celebration would be a little ones dream come true.  They also have smaller packages you can customize with your daughters favorite characters.  

    Dining with favorite Disney pals is one way your whole family can celebrate.  Many varied options for character dining can be found online, or by calling (407) WDW-DINE or (407)939-3463.  Celebratory cakes can even be bought at host greeting stations at most dining locations.
