Hey there Noah, and welcome to planDisney. This question was meant for me to answer. I have terrible motion sickness and frequently load up on anti-nausea medication the night before and the morning of every day at Walt Disney World Resort. This is the perfect solution so I can enjoy the theme park attractions as well as all
water transportation, the
Walt Disney World Monorail System, and the
Walt Disney World Bus Service.
The private fireworks
Specialty Cruises are a hidden gem and have never been an issue for my motion sickness. The Seven Seas Lagoon is a larger body of water and there will be motion but not rough water. I have experienced very little water turbulence and no constant rocking. They will not sail on water deemed too dangerous or during inclement weather. Be sure to tell your skipper that a member of your party has motion sickness so they cruise the Seven Seas Lagoon smoothly and find the calmest area of water possible.
The experience of having a lagoon view of
Happily Ever After will be unforgettable. There will be snacks and beverages to enjoy as part of the cruise with music from the nighttime spectacular played through the boat sound system. The last cruise we went on was a New Year's Eve cruise. We rang in the New Year with the most exciting pyrotechnics and no crowds. It was such a magical experience.
planDisney Pro Tip: I always carry ginger candies with me at the theme parks just in case I start to feel the motion sickness creeping in. Also, request ginger ale when you book the cruise for your motion sickness-prone party member.
Noah, please feel free to
write me back directly with any follow-up questions. Enjoy the cruise.
Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
