We are planning a trip to Disney World in May. And are going between the Fort Wilderness Lodge and Cabins. What do ya'll say about each of these? Wanting to be close and convenient to magic kingdom. Would both be equally so? Thank you

Hi Kimberly!  The Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness are located adjacent to each other with the Wilderness Lodge being on the closer side to Magic Kingdom.  From either location, you will need to take a very relaxing boat ride to Magic Kingdom.

Fort Wilderness is a campground and therefore the cabins are spread out throughout the grounds.  If you stay there, you may want to consider renting a golf cart for transportation within the campground.  The Wilderness Lodge is more compact as it's a resort hotel.  I do think for convenience, you should give the nod to Wilderness Lodge.  You will love this resort and you can always visit Fort Wilderness to see if this is something you might want to experience on your next trip.

I hope your vacation is truly magical!
