Hi, there!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jessica. We're glad you stopped by!
I can't think of a better place to celebrate a birthday than the
Walt Disney World Resort. We celebrated my son's third birthday there a few years ago, and it was certainly his most magical birthday to date! I know your little guy's visit will be just as memorable.
If you check-in at your
Disney Resort hotel on your son's third birthday, regardless of what time you check-in, he will be considered 3-years old for the length of your stay. If you check-in
prior to his birthday and he turns 3-years old during your stay, he will be considered under the age of 3 until you check-out. Children under the age of 3 do not require theme park admission, so I recommend you schedule your arrival date to be at least one day before your little guy's birthday!
Be sure to request a complimentary celebration button from the Front Desk at the time of check-in. With a birthday button, your son will receive lots of birthday wishes from Cast Members and Guests alike!
I also suggest you schedule a special dinner for your birthday boy. We made a reservation at
The Crystal Palace on my son's birthday, and Winnie the Pooh and his pals from the Hundred-Acre Wood made it extra special!
I hope this was helpful, Jessica. Please visit us again soon with any new questions you may have about your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
