Sandra:
Three of Disney World's four theme parks have hotels within walking distance and a few offer convenient monorail or boat transportation.
The Magic Kingdom resorts are the Grand Floridian, the Polynesian, the Contemporary and Bay Lake Towers. All can be accessed by the monorail and the Contemporary and BLT are within walking distance. Wilderness Lodge and the cabins of Fort Wilderness have boat access to the Magic Kingdom. In my opinion, the closest resort to the park is the
Contemporary because I can walk to the park gates in about 10 minutes and then return to the hotel via the monorail as its first stop on the MK resort loop in about the same amount of time.
The resorts near Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios are the Yacht and Beach Club, the Boardwalk and the Swan and Dolphin. Any of them are close enough for a pleasant walk to either park, although many will take the boats to DHS in warmer weather.
It sounds like you are looking at some of the less expensive hotels for your vacation. Keep in mind that proximity to the parks increases the price of your room. However, of your three choices,
Wilderness Lodge is just a boat ride away from the Magic Kingdom. Additionally, if you're looking at staying near the Epcot area, you may want to consider the less-expensive rooms of the Swan and Dolphin that are not run by Disney but by Sheraton and Westin. Although you won't be able to purchase the Disney dining plan while staying at these two resorts, you do get to participate in Disney's Extra Magic Hours. For the price, the Dolphin provides a big bang for my tourism dollar.
Wishing y'all a magical vacation!
