I am planning a trip to Disney World for the last week of December 2021. There will be approx 6 adults (2 with mobility issues) and 4-5 kids. Celebrating two of them turning 5. What is the best park for 5 year olds to enjoy? Disability help??

    Hi Katie,

Welcome to planDisney! How exciting! I love that you are taking the lead on planning this family vacation.

Although all of the theme parks have attractions and activities that are great for 5-year olds, if you have to choose one park, I suggest Magic Kingdom. There are so many great attractions there for little ones. I suggest that you start pricing vacation packages with a resort hotel and theme park tickets

Since Disney Resorts Collection hotels can be pretty expansive, I suggest you take a look at a resort hotel map before making a final decision on the resort hotel. We always put in room requests to request a room close to the main building and main pool. That typically also puts us close to transportation. We prefer resort hotels within walking distance to a theme park. Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney's Contemporary Resort are within walking distance to Magic Kingdom. Disney's BoardWalk Inn, Disney's Yacht Club, and Disney's Beach Club Resorts are within walking distance to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios. If you have folks that will need electric conveyance vehicles (ECV's), be sure to check out the ECV rental options.

For assistance with disabilities, review the information on Services for Guests with Disabilities. If you have folks with you who will not be able to tolerate standing in a normal line, inquire about Disability Access Service. My family has used this service before. It truly is a lifesaver if you have someone in your party who would find it hard to stand in line for a long time.

Katie, I hope this helps. Happy Planning!

    Magic and memories,
