We are planning our trip to Disney World 10/19/2021-10/24/2021. Do you know when they will be opening up more of the resorts for handicap (4) adults and (1) child. Its hard to plan a trip when you are limited on the choices.

    Hi Charlene,

    Welcome to planDisney!

How exciting to hEAR that you are planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort! Currently, there are 19 resort hotels open in the Disney Resorts Collection with more resort hotels scheduled to reopen by the summer of 2021. Each of these has accessible rooms.

Part of your challenge may be the number of Guests in your party given the age of the child. If your child is 2-years old or younger, you may have more resort hotel options. When I searched for your dates entering the child as 7-years old, most options were deluxe and deluxe villa resort hotels with the exception of Disney's Art of Animation Resort and The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. When I entered the child's age as 2-years old, more value and moderate resort hotels showed availability with accessible rooms. It seems that your party size and the age of the child may be limiting your options.

If you need assistance with identifying options and booking your vacation package, please call 407-939-5277. Your timing is lovely since you will be there as The World's Most Magical Celebration gets underway in full swing. Keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog for additional details on exciting plans for the 50th anniversary and check the operational updates for changes to policies and procedures.

As you continue to plan, review the Services for Guests with Disabilities and feel free to call 407-560-2547 for more details. A Cast Member could help you with your specific disability service needs, particularly if you need assistance with disability services beyond mobility-related ones. Also take some time to review the attraction information for Guests with Mobility Disabilities.

Charlene, I hope this helps! We trust that you all have tested those super powers, planned the matching gear, and are ready for an Incredible Disney visit!

    Magic and memories,
    Donyell
