Hi Sarah,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. Your June trip is coming up so soon, and I’m so excited for you! You are going to have an Incredible Summer at Walt Disney World!
I just got back from a Disney trip where we rented a BOB stroller, and
whoa did we love it. I like to tour the parks with a magical Starbucks in hand at all times, and I loved the BOB’s one-handed steering capabilities as well as its amazing storage. My advice to you is to take a quick check of the
Park Rules to be sure your stroller’s dimensions fit the requirements; currently, strollers must be no larger than 36” x 52.”
Additionally, you will be required to fold the stroller when you board Disney buses and some of the smaller watercraft. We have been able to stroll the stroller right on to the Friendship Boats and ferries with no problems, but be aware that Disney Transportation Cast Members may ask you to fold your stroller in some circumstances. This is a pain if you have a sleeping kiddo or a lot of stuff stashed under your stroller (aka my life). We try to keep our stuff in a backpack stuffed under the stroller so it’s easy to pull it out if needed; this also helps when going through the security lines.
Sarah, you may have heard this advice before, but try to find a fun way to add some Disney Style to your stroller so you can easily spot it in the stroller parking around the parks. On our last trip, we made a customized “license plate” that said “Dole Whip Family” (I have a teeny obsession with that magical pineapple treat), and that made it easy to spot in a sea of strollers. I saw some really cute and creative stroller decorations, so have fun sprinkling pixie dust on your daughter's chariot!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
