I have ? for you. We are planning a trip to Disney World in July 2009 and want to stay at the Contemporary Resort. my ? is, is it better for me to book a tower room now or just get a garden view room and upgrade later? Thanks

Well, since I'm careful to get my money's worth out of my WDW vacations, I would advise booking a garden view room for now. Then watch for discounts in order to upgrade to a tower room.

Tower rooms provide a balcony or patio. Garden view rooms have patios on the first floor rooms but no balconies for the higher level rooms.

Many guests that stay at the Contemporary feel that the Magic Kingdom tower view rooms are worth the extra money. And indeed, watching the fireworks over the castle and looking on to Space Mountain is quite beautiful. If you desire a Magic Kingdom view room and would be disappointed to  not receive one, I would go ahead and book the MK tower room now.

Otherwise, wait for discounts to be released prior to upgrading. Make sure to at least book your rooom with a AAA discount if you are a AAA member.
