Hiya, Leah! Thanks so much for visiting planDisney, we're so glad you found us! You've got a friend (and a nurse!) in me, and I'm happy to help with your question to make sure your trip to
Walt Disney World Resort is as magical as can be.
You will be totally fine to navigate the parks with your walker. All of the attraction queues are able to accommodate wheelchairs or ECVs--I've tested this personally when one of my girls had an injury and needed to use a wheelchair--so you will have no trouble bringing your walker through the line and using it to sit when you need to. When you reach the boarding area, a Cast Member will take your walker and it will be waiting for you when you exit the ride, just like magic!
If you find that you need more support than the walker, you can
rent a wheelchair or an ECV in all four theme parks, as well as
Disney Springs. Walt Disney World also partners with ScooterBug, a local company, as a preferred provider for wheelchairs and ECVs. They will deliver your mobility aid directly to your Disney
Resort Hotel and pick it up, as well!
Leah, remember that it can get toasty in the theme parks, and it's important to stay hydrated and keep cool. There are excellent
First Aid Centers in all four parks and both water parks if you need to take a break or require some medical attention. The nurses there are fantastic and will have you back to the fun in no time. Some of our family's favorite spots to cool off include:
Thanks again for stopping by, Leah, and please don't hesitate to
reach out again if we can help with any other questions so you can have a safe and fun vacation at The Most Magical Place on Earth.
In the words of Baymax, are you satisfied with your care? I sure hope so!
See Ya Real Soon!
Susan
