We are planning a trip to Disney World in Feb 2016 and we are taking our 2 year old. Will she be able to go on any rides with a parent if she is under the height requirement?

Hi Katie! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I love taking my kids to the Walt Disney World resort at two years old! I have always found that they are at an age where everything is really fun and exciting for them.

If there is a height requirement for a ride and the child does not meet that height requirement, they will not be permitted to ride. I have found them to be extremely stringent with the height requirement for the safety of guests.

There are plenty of attractions and entertainment that all of the family can participate in! Check out the Planning for Pre-School Kids & Little Ones area of the Walt Disney World website. There are a lot of really useful tips to help plan a successful family vacation.

Also there is a Rider Switch program so that if a member of the party can’t ride an attraction, one person can ride the attraction while another stays back with the child. You than can “switch” so the person that stayed back with the child doesn’t have to miss out on the fun!

I hope that you have a fantastic time! Make sure to say “Hi” to Mickey Mouse for me!
