Hi, planning a trip to disney world in 2025 with my family. Our party will consist of 3 adults, one infant, and one 2 y.o. Will we all be able to stay in a standard room in a disney world resort hotel or will need to book 2 rooms or need larger room?

    Hi AJ,

    Welcome to planDisney!

I am delighted to hear that you are planning a visit to the Walt Disney World® Resort! The good news is that you could possibly book a stay in a Disney Resorts Collection hotel with a standard room since one member of your party is an infant. There are also standard rooms that can accommodate five adults. These rooms generally have two Queen-sized beds and one smaller pull down bed. Consider Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort or Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside. Both of these rooms have a 5th sleeper. Although you may not need the 5th bed, it would be available.

There are deluxe and deluxe villa resorts that also can accommodate five guests. Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney's Contemporary Resort are a few of our favorites. Keep in mind though that you will probably need to be able to get the children to sleep before the adults, so it helps to have a little extra space. I suggest that you do some comparison pricing with Disney's Art of Animation Resort - the family suites have a bit more space with a kitchen and two bathrooms. Or consider a suite or villa at one of the deluxe villa resorts. Even a 1-Bedroom suite or villa would give you separate spaces so that you could put the kids down for nap time while the adults enjoy television in a separate room.

Honestly, I believe there are benefits to staying in the same room, especially if you book a suite or villa. You would all get to enjoy some relaxation time together. Everyone would be able to help with the little ones (if they choose!) and you would have access to a kitchen or kitchenette. When we first started visiting Disney with our girls, we traveled with my parents and stayed in a 2 Bedroom suite at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort. The suite was fantastic and we had an amazing time!

AJ, I hope this gives you a few ideas. For us, the decision usually comes down to budget. Once we stayed at Saratoga Springs on that first trip with our girls, we realized that we loved deluxe and deluxe villa resorts, so we cut down the number of nights we stayed to help with budgeting so that we could stay at deluxe or deluxe villa resorts more often. If you decided to stay in a standard room, just make a plan for nap time and bedtime with the little ones!

    Magic and memories,
