    Hi, we are planning a trip to Disney World Dec.4-8, 2013. After doing some research, I think they will be filming the Christmas Day Parade during our stay. Can you please tell me how this effects Magic Kingdom and if you need a special ticket to attend?

    Thank you for sending in your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

    You don't need a special ticket to enter the Magic Kingdom.  However, if you visit when they are filming you might be directed quickly down Main Street or even into a backstage area, normally off limits to guests, to bypass Main Street.  Usually there is a path set up by Disney on one side of the street for guests to enter the park.

    If you want to participate in the filming, sometimes you do need to get a ticket.  Just know that filming can be very drawn out.  The parade is started and stopped and then restarted, etc, etc, in order to get the taping of the parade perfect. 

    There may also be stage shows in the park, such as in front of Cinderella Castle.  My advice would be to avoid the Magic Kingdom unless you want to see some of the filming or some of the stage shows from a distance.
