We are planning a trip to Disney World for my daughter's 3rd birthday. If at the start of the trip she is 2 years old, but turns 3 halfway thru, will I need to buy her a park ticket for the remaining days that she is 3 years old?

Hey there Gloria, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

You'll have such a grand time celebrating your little girl on her birthday at Walt Disney World. Seeing her explore and discover so many new things will be a precious memory for your family, and one you can share with her as she grows up.

Your daughter's "Disney age" is established at the beginning of your trip, when you check into your Resort hotel. Since she'll be 2 when you arrive, she'll be considered 2 for your whole visit, even though she'll have that big birthday halfway through. No need to buy an extra admission ticket for her.

I hope this helps in your planning, Gloria, and the happiest of birthdays to your little princess!

    Have a magical day,

    Kathy K.

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
