We are planning a trip to Disney this summer and are looking at the first week of June or the end of July. Is there any difference in crowds or events at Disney for either of these time periods?

Hi Angie...it's nice that you have a bit of flexibility in timing for your Walt Disney World vacation.  With that in mind, here are a few pros and cons to both the first week of June and the end of July.  The beginning of June is definitely a better time to go if you want fewer crowds-while it will still be busy, many schools have not started summer break yet.  Also, the temperatures will be more tolerable than if you wait until late July. If you are a Star Wars fan, your visit will coincide with Star Wars Weekend that takes place at Disney's Hollywood Studios-but be aware that park will be very busy on those days!  The first week of June is also considered Summer Season with regards to pricing of resorts at Walt Disney World.  The end of July will be very busy as may people are taking their summer vacations at that time and most schools are on break.  It will also be very hot and humid, weather-wise.  The plus side is that while Value and Moderate resorts are still priced at Summer Season,  the Deluxe hotels change to Value season pricing in mid-July-you'll get more for your money!  Also, the Sounds Like Summer Concert Series will be in full swing at that time-some really great tribute bands play at the America Gardens Theatre at Epcot.  This is always a fun event and admission is included with your park ticket.  While the 2013 line-up hasn't been announced, you can keep checking the link for further updates.  I hope this information is helpful to you-good luck making your decision and have a great vacation!
