Hiya Amanda,
Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your stroller rental question. As a mom to two daughters, one four and one eight, I completely understand how important a
stroller can be, even for an older mouseketeer. Between long park days, parade viewing, and those extra steps walking from
Frontierland all the way to Tomorrowland, my girls still just need a cozy spot to rest their feet. Plus, strollers are a great way to carry water bottles, snacks, and all those pixie-dust-filled souvenirs collected throughout the day when the kids are not using them.
So, Amanda, let’s stroll right into your question. According to
Walt Disney World property rules, strollers wider than 31 inches or longer than 52 inches are not permitted on the property. That still leaves you with plenty of great options. When my girls were younger, we used a double City Mini GT stroller, and now that they are a bit older, we use a single Baby Jogger stroller and let them take turns when needed. It has worked out perfectly for our family.
If you prefer not to bring a stroller from home, you can also rent one at the front of the theme parks and
Disney Springs.
Single strollers are recommended for children under 50 pounds, while double strollers can accommodate up to 100 pounds. These rentals are picked up at the park entrance and returned before you leave for the day, making it a very easy option.
Another great choice, especially if you are staying on
Disney property, is renting a stroller for the length of your stay. You can have it delivered directly to your resort and use it throughout your vacation. ScooterBug is the Disney Featured Provider, but other third-party companies are available if you prefer.
Amanda, I hope this helps put your mind at ease when it comes to stroller options. I completely understand wanting that extra bit of comfort and convenience during your magical days. If you have any other questions as you plan, please feel free to visit us again.
See you real soon,
Christina
