We are planning a trip to Disney (FL), possibly in October or November, 2013. Our daughter will be 5 then and it will be her first Disney vacation. Any suggestions on when to go (October or November), where to stay, etc.. would be very helpful. Thanks!

    Hello Lisa!

I bet you and your daughter will be "over the moon" about visiting the Walt Disney World Resort for her very first trip. How exciting! In my experience, the months of October and November are fabulous times to visit Disney World.  I would definitely recommend avoiding the week leading up to the Thanksgiving holiday, as crowds can get quite large then.  With a child your daughter's age, I would imagine that you will want to spend a lot of time at Magic Kingdom Park.  For ease of transportation to Magic Kingdom Park, I like the resorts around Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon.  They are Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Polynesian Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.  Also, Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter and Disney's Port Orleans Riverside are just a short bus ride away.  Your resort choice depends mostly on your budget and desired theming.  Please take a look at all of the Walt Disney World Resorts in order to help you make this exciting decision.

Feel free to write back and ask me any additional trip planning questions. I'm happy to help!

Until then, I wish you a magical vacation!
