Hi Jo-Ann! It’s never too early to begin planning your vacation to the Most Magical Place on Earth! Advanced planners are usually able to take full advantage of just about everything that the Walt Disney World Resort has to offer!
While Mickey isn’t quite ready to share plans for the 2024 Halloween and Christmas seasons, we can use the past to get an idea of the future! The Halloween/fall season usually begins in mid-August and lasts through Halloween night or November 1. At Magic Kingdom Park, which hosts separately ticketed events for both Halloween and Christmas, the Halloween decorations will go down and Christmas decorations will go up at the same time. This will usually occur immediately following the last
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (separately ticketed event) on October 31 or November 1. Magic Kingdom Park is usually decorated over two nights. Yes, the Seven Dwarfs are very busy those two nights! I believe Santa sends some magical elves from the North Pole to help with decorating! Magic Kingdom Park is fully decorated for Christmas in time for the first
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party (separately ticketed event) which is usually held by November 8 or November 9.
All the Disney Parks and Disney Resort Hotels are decorated for the Christmas season by the end of the first week of November! I truly believe that the Walt Disney World Resort is one of the most festive places to visit during the holiday season! Over at EPCOT, Guests can enjoy the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays! I highly recommend the Candlelight Processional at Epcot! It is one of the most beautiful celebrations of Christmas!
Additionally, Disney Springs offers another holiday favorite…The Christmas Tree Stroll! Here you will find Christmas trees themed to our favorite Disney characters, movies, attractions, resorts, and more!
Happy Holidays, Jo-Ann, and Happy Planning!
