We're planning a trip to Disney to meet relatives staying at Coronado Springs Resort. We have a 3-yr old and wonder if that's a good place to stay with a toddler. We'll be spending a lot of time at the resort so there needs to be fun things to do. Advice?

Hi Michelle!  I am a fan of the Coronado Springs resort at Walt Disney World.  Many guests shy away due to it having the name tag of a convention resort but with that comes lots of pluses.  During the days the facilities are less crowded due to convention guests being in meetings or off doing their own special thing. There are multiple pools located within each room complex and then a great large pool area which is where you will find the theming and the slide etc.  The resort is located on a small lake so you have the opportunity to rent small water craft and enjoy the serenity of the lake atmosphere. The main lobby building offers quick service choices as well as a table service restaurant.  If anyone in your party wishes to be pampered they can book a spa service at the spa in the resort. Some of these things are just not offered in other moderate resorts.

The location allows you to visit the parks in just a few minutes by bus.  You can also take the short walk via sidewalks down to the Blizzard Beach water park.  For a moderate I think it is fine and for a second choice I would go to Port Orleans if Coronado Springs is full.
