We are planning a trip to Disney in May, but part of it is a surprise. When I purchase the park tickets, I know I have to put the name in the fields.. but will it notify them that I have purchased them or will it hold until I assign them?

Hey there, Amber, and welcome to planDisney. What an awesome surprise! This must be an exceptional person (people) and kudos to you for having the strength to keep it a secret.

You may buy individual Walt Disney World Resort Theme Park tickets for yourself and then reassign them through your My Disney Experience account or the My Disney Experience Mobile App to whomever you want as long as they are part of your Family & Friends list. However, once tickets are added to their My Disney Experience account they will receive an email that a ticket has been added. You can reassign a ticket at any time so you could wait until the day of your adventure to visit Mickey and the rest of the Fab Five until then.

Amber, I hope this helps you pull off the surprise of a lifetime to enjoy the thrills and nostalgia of Walt Disney World Resort. planDisney is always here to help. Please feel free to write us back with any follow-up questions or for more Disney vacation planning advice and tips.

    Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
