Planning a trip to Disney in May for my daughters 3rd birthday. I'm torn between the Poly and Contemporary. Frst choice is the Contemporary but I'm having second thoughts. Convenience and dining for a toddler is priority. Suggestions?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Mark!

First, I want to say that you’re choosing between two fantastic Disney Resort hotels and you REALLY can’t go wrong! What an amazing 3rd birthday for your little princess! Having recently stayed at Disney’s Contemporary Resort with my family I was totally surprised at how much I loved it and it is now my preferred Disney Resort hotel! We did, however, have a Tower Theme Park View Room which added to the magic! If you are looking for a great place to dine with a toddler, look no further than Chef Mickey’s! Breakfast is my favorite time to dine at this Disney Restaurant but we have been for dinner and it was also fantastic! During our last vacation, my daughter and I stayed for the Happily Ever After fireworks show, and I LOVED that we were able to WALK back to our Disney Resort hotel and not have to deal with waiting for the Resort Monorail! It was only an 8 to 10-minute walk and my over-tired 7-year-old was able to do it without complaining! There are some great Disney Restaurants on the Resort Monorail loop as well, which are conveniently accessible from Disney’s Contemporary Resort. The Best Friends Breakfast Featuring Lilo & Stitch at ‘Ohana over at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is another great Character Meal that your family might enjoy! Over at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, you can find 1900 Park Fare where you can meet Cinderella’s evil stepmother and sisters- don’t worry, they are a riot!

I hope my answer helps you make your decision and that you have a magical vacation no matter where you end up staying! See you again real soon,
