I was planning a trip to Disney March 3 - 7th with myself and my husband. I was wondering what the crowds and weather was like at this time of year? This will be our last trip with just the two of us for a while ;)

    Hi, Sheena!

The dates of your planned trip to Walt Disney World are really ideal, especially since it will be just the two of you!

Crowd levels will be ideal, with TouringPlans.com (a great unofficial crowd-predicting site) estimating levels at 4-5 out of 10 on every day of your stay. Great timing! The weather averages 78 as a high and 54 as a low. I'm frequently in WDW in early March, as a chaperone on our Senior Class Trip. I advise everyone to dress in layers on these days, as the early morning hours can be cool, but temps can warm up throughout any given day so that shorts and a T-shirt are ideal later on. Once the sun goes down, you might want a light sweatshirt or jacket, too, so again, layers are key here. It's typically just beautiful weather during that time, especially for those of us from up North, where it's still fr..fr..freezing in March!

I say go for it! The weather and crowd levels will be in your favor; in fact, you can even tour the beautiful Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, which opens on March 6th in 2013. (You might even get a glimpse of the beauty there on the 5th as well!) If you've never seen Epcot transformed during this festival, this is your year to do so. I come home with a souvenir for my garden each year I attend...just can't help myself, as there is so much to do and see during the Festival!

Send more questions as you think of them, Sheena; I love to help! (Especially if it's to help plan your romantic getaway that may need to last a little while...been there! Wait...AM there! :-) )
