Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Rebecca!
I am always in some stage of planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation so I appreciate how you're looking ahead to 2021! As you are thinking about your trip, here are a few things to get you started.
As of today, tickets and vacation packages are not yet able to be purchased for 2021. While I can't guarantee an exact date, historically these have been released in June for the following year. I would encourage you to keep an eye on the
ticket page and on the
Disney Parks Blog, this June 2020, to book for March 2021.
You also mentioned expiration dates. Back in 2018
Disney moved to date-based tickets and pricing. Basically what this means is that ticket prices will vary based on the time of year you're planning to travel. So, since you're headed to
Magic Kingdom Park in March of 2021, you will purchase ticket(s) specific to your date. And, because they are date-specific, if you buy a 1-day
Standard Theme Park ticket, it will expire after the selected start day. Take a few moments to review how
longer tickets work as there is more flexibility in usage. For instance, if you purchase a 3-day Standard Theme Park ticket, you will have 5 days to which to use those.
Rebecca, I hope this helps as you're starting to put together your trip for 2021. Don't forget that after you have your dates picked, tickets purchased and
My Disney Experience set up, it's time to start thinking about all of that delicious food. If you are hoping to
dine at any Table Service restaurants while you're enjoying Magic Kingdom Park, I recommend making reservations well in advance. You may begin booking those 180 days prior to your visit.
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Come on back and see us with any other questions! Wishing you a Magical vacation,
Lauren
