I am planning for a trip to Disney land / theme parks with my husband and 1 year old son. Please suggest me places where we can enjoy as a family, that is with my 1 year old.

    Hi Karthika,

Disneyland is a place that families can enjoy together because there is so much to see and do for guests of all ages.  The bright colors and happy sounds will have your son giggling and smiling every time he looks around!

I recommend you plan to spend most of your time at Disneyland Park where you and your family can enjoy slow-moving attractions in the Fantasyland area.  Here at Disneyland, you can also introduce your little one to the Disney Characters for the very first time!  You will be able to take your son on any attraction that does not enforce a height restriction so there will be lots you can do together!  For the attractions that DO enforce a height restriction, Disney offers a unique service called Rider Switch which will allow one parent to wait with the baby while the other enjoys the attraction.  Afterwards, the other parent will be able to enter the attraction through a special line with little or no wait!  You'll also want to familiarize yourselves with the Baby Care Centers that are located in each park.  These quiet rooms contain everything you'll need to relax with your little one when you need a quick break!

I also suggest you stay at one of the 3 Disneyland Resort Hotels!  This way, your hotel room is located steps away from the parks so heading back for a nap midday is no big deal!  This was crucial when my daughter was that age!

Be sure to pace yourselves and take lots of time for breaks and recharging. You can bring a small cooler into the parks so pack some drinks and snacks!  Also, be sure to bring a stroller so baby has a place to nap!

    Best Wishes,
