Planning our 4th trip to Disney with our 3 kids (11, 9 & 6) for Aug 2012 - will it be too hot (other trips were in Feb; March & May)? But the dates we chose will include my sons 7th bday & our anniversary. Also Port Orleans Riverside or Beac

Summer at the Happiest Place on Earth just means more sun tanned memories. On those summer days at Walt Disney World, my family heads right on over to either Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon. These two awesome water parks have just what every family needs to have fun on a hot day. Whether it's a fast paced water slide or a slow moving stream to just take it all in, these parks have it all. On the other hand, relaxing at the pool at your Disney resort is also a great idea. As for things not to miss on your son's birthday, one great tip to make the day even more special is to start with a visit to Main Street U.S.A. at the Magic Kingdom. At City Hall for the he  will receive Personalized Birthday Celebration Recognition Pin. He might also enjoy the phone call from Goofy with birthday wishes on the antique phones. I would also suggest you purchase him the special 'it's my birthday' Mickey Mouse ears. With these on the birthday boy will receive birthday wishes from both cast members and guests alike, which is such an amazing treat to feel more special. I hope this makes his day more magical. As for a resort, I am partial to the Disney's Beach Club Resort. I enjoy the location and the New England Style of this Deluxe Disney resort and I think you will also.
