We are planning a trip to Disney at the of June. We have 3 young children (including a baby) who would like to spend most of their time in MK and Epcot! Can you suggest a place to stay (moderate resort) that wou.d meet our young family's needs. Thank you

    Hi Vanessa!

All of the Magic Kingdom Resorts are Disney Deluxe Resorts and all provide easy access to the Magic Kingdom via either monorail or boat.  The Wilderness Lodge is the least expensive of the Magic Kingdom Resorts, but is not on the monorail line.  However, it is my personal favorite resort at Walt Disney World.

All of the resorts within walking distance of Epcot are Deluxe Resorts.  Disney offers the Beach Club, Yacht Club, and Boardwalk.  Two independent hotels within walking distance of Epcot, though it is a long walk, are the Walt Disney World Swan and Walt Disney World Dolphin.  The Swan and Dolphin are great resorts and, generally speaking, are less expensive than Disney Deluxe Resorts.

My favorite Disney Moderate Resort is Port Orleans Riverside.  You can ride a boat from there to Downtown Disney.  However, to get anywhere else you will have to take a Disney bus or drive your own car.  I love the Alligator Bayou section of Port Orleans Riverside.  The resort has a Table Service restaurant for dinner and a great pool area.  There are also carriage rides at night and cane pole fishing.

Enjoy planning and write back if you have any more questions!
