We are planning a trip to disney on July 4th we have been told to stay away from MK for the 4th because of the crowds we were also told that from Epcot you can see all the Firework shows is this true or would we be better off at HS for the 4th.

The 4th of July is a popular vacation time for families, so you will see plenty of people in the Magic Kingdom. There are alternatives to watching the fireworks in the park if you wish to avoid some of the peak crowds.

One year we enjoyed the fireworks the day before when the Magic Kingdom was less crowded. On July 3rd the same show is presented in the theme park. Also consider watching the pyrotechnics from outside the park on the 4th. The beaches of Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Disney's Polynesian Resort are great viewing sports. All are welcome on the fourth floor of Disney's Contemporary Resort and those with dinner reservations at California Grill may utilize the top floor balcony to see the exploding event.

Epcot also celebrates the country's birthday with the addition of The Heartbeat of Freedom to the park's traditional IllumiNations laser and fireworks show. This park does not have a great spot to view the MK fireworks show.

Disney's Hollywood Studios presents a rock 'n roll show for Independence Day. Mulch, Sweat, and Shears performs a rocking laser, firework, and music show. Fantasmic! is also presented on July 4th.

Wishing you a magical 4th of July!
