if i am planning a trip to disney in january can i make the reservations in may

Welcome to planDisney, Penny! Thanks for coming to us with your question today. I'm so glad to hear that you're planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation next January! I also have plans to visit around that time to cheer on a friend who is running the Dopey Challenge during the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend. It's a great time of year to visit for so many reasons!

At this time, reservations for 2024 have not yet opened. Historically, we have seen them open up around the late spring or early summer, so hopefully we don't have too much longer to wait. I recommend continuing to check the website and keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog, which is the number one source for all breaking Disney Parks news.

While we don't know for sure exactly when we'll both be able to book our January getaways, there's still so much vacation planning you can do! It's a great time to check out all of the different Disney Resorts Collection Hotels and think about which one you want to stay at. Maybe you want to try something in the EPCOT area for quick access to the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, which should be up and running by the time you arrive, or maybe you want to be in the Magic Kingdom Park area so you can enjoy the convenience of the monorail. Whatever you choose, you're going to be in for a magical vacation next year!

    See ya real soon, Penny!

In fact, we even opted out of a tropical honeymoon to spend a blissful week at Walt Disney World Resort instead! I'm thrilled to be on the planDisney Panel and I'm excited to share everything I've learned from all of our trips and help you plan a memorable family vacation.  Learn More About Jessica
