I am planning a trip to Disney with my husband and our two boys, ages 3 and 6. I am trying to decide between Port Orleans-Riverside and French Quarter. My kids like to swim and normally enjoy any poolside activities. Which would you recommend?

    Hello Kimberly!

What a great question!!!!  I would definitely recommend Disney Port Orleans - Riverside over Disney's Port Orleans - French Quarter for several reasons.  First, the pool area is much better at Riverside!  The slide and kiddie pool area are AWESOME!  There are also five basic pools located throughout the Riverside Resort area.  That way you have a choice to play at the "big" pool, or beat the crowds and enjoy a pool closer to your Resort Room.  Second, the food choices are better at Riverside.  Not only do you have a better food court, but you also have the choice to enjoy a Table Service restaurant for dinner.  Third, I would also say that I believe the overall theme of Riverside is nicer than French Quarter.  To me, Riverside feels like you are at a really nice resort in the "Deep South", with huge shade trees and beautiful southern plantation buildings.

In fact, my family is actually staying at Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside in a few weeks!  I can't wait!  If you have other questions, please let me know!

    Have a MAGICAL day!
