Hi Peter ~
I have made trips to Disney World during every peak season. Easter is Sunday, April 5, 2015 so that week will likely be very crowded. Perhaps not as jammed as New Years, but spring break levels are typically pretty high as well.
The average high temperature in April is in the low-80s and the average low is in the upper-50s. They usually get a little over 3 inches of rain during the month of April so you may want to pack ponchos or umbrellas. Keep in mind that these are averages. Be sure to check the 10-day forecast online before you finish your final packing.
Here are some other tips that will help you before and during your trip:
* Use the Disney Parks Moms Panel - we'll be here to help you with all of your planning questions.
* Stay at a Disney Resort Hotel and make your hotel reservations as soon as possible to ensure you get what you want. This will also give you access to Extra Magic Hours that are only available to Guests staying at a WDW Resort.
* Take advantage of
Disney FastPass+ service (FP+). Guests staying on property can make FP+ selections 60 days in advance.
* Make
Advanced Dining Reservations (ADRs). These can be made be made up to 180 days prior to your trip through the link above or by calling 407-WDW-DINE.
* Select your 3 "must dos" in the parks you're visiting and do those first.
* Unless you have ADRs, plan to eat lunch and dinner earlier than usual. This will help you avoid some of the crowds.
* Bring your own water and snacks to avoid waiting in line for them.
* Remember to relax. Disney takes care of every detail in the parks so take the time to pay attention to them.
Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
