We are planning a trip to Disney in February and will be staying at the Animal Kingdom lodge. We have the park hopper option on our tickets and was wondering how much travel time should we plan for when travelling between parks?

    Hi Sandra!

I'm so jealous!  The Animal Kingdom Lodge is a beautiful resort.  It's been my experience that Disney buses typically run at least every 20 minutes.  Then you have to add on to that how much time it takes to actually drive somewhere.

I personally plan on it averaging 45 minutes to get somewhere using Disney transportation.  Some destinations, like going from one hotel resort to another can take much longer via a bus, because there is no direct path and you have to go to some intermediate point like a theme park or Downtown Disney.

If I absolutely can't be late, then I plan on an hour on the bus.  With the exception of going from hotel to hotel, that's never failed me in many years of visiting Walt Disney World.

Have a magical vacation and write back if you have any more questions!
