I am planning a trip to Disney on Feb. 28th. It will be 2 adults and 3 kids ages 4,2 and 5 months. I am a Florida resident and we will be getting the 3 day pass for $99 each. Is it cheaper to stay in an on site hotel or stay off site?

    Hi Melody,

I recently moved to Central Florida and am so excited to be able to make use of Disney's wonderful Florida Resident discounts.  As for what resorts are less expensive, it depends.  Florida residents are often eligible for discounts on resort stays as well.  Click HERE for the most up-to-date Florida resident discount information.  Disney's Value Resorts are very competitive with many similar off-property locations.  Off-property, you will find a huge variety of lodging options, from budget motels, to deluxe, five-star resorts.  You could easily find accommodations that are more expensive than Disney resorts.  I find the convenience of staying on-property, especially being able to make use of Disney transportation to and from the parks, to be a huge benefit.  In addition, the wonderful theming and amenities help ensure that your vacation continues when you head back to your room.  The lobbies, resort pools and dining areas are wonderfully decorated, and make you feel as though you haven't left the parks!

Whichever option you pick, have a magical trip!
