We are planning a trip to Disney in the end of July 2012 what is a good restaurant for characters for boys age 4 and a girl age 7. How far in advance do you have to make reservations?

    Hi Carrie!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!

Advance Dining Reservations can be made 180 days in advance.  ADRs can be made online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE.  They are critical for getting into the popular Table Service restaurants in the parks and at the resorts and the most popular can fill up pretty close to the 180 day mark.

Popular Disney Character Dining Experiences for boys and girls of those ages include:
    • Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary Resort
    • 1900 Park Fair in the Grand Floridian
    • Breakfast at Cape May Cafe in the Beach Club
    • Breakfast at Ohana in the Polynesian
    • Princess Storybook Dining in the Norway Pavilion in Epcot
    • Cinderella's Royal Table inside Cinderella Castle in the Magic Kingdom
    • Tusker House in Disney's Animal Kingdom
    • Hollywood and Vine in Disney's Hollywood Studios

A specific one for the boy would be Chef Mickey's, Cape May Cafe, Tusker House, or Ohana.  1900 Park Fair, Princess Storybook Dining, and Cinderella's Royal Table probably appeals more to young ladies.

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
