I am planning a trip to Disney in early October and have seen the Magic Kingdom railroad is closed. Will there still be an opening ceremony at Magic Kingdom if there is no functioning train to ride in on?

    Hi, Tiffany!

Well you have stumped me on this question!  I made a few phone calls, searched the web, and I cannot come up with an answer for you.  But, what I will do is give you my best guess as to what will happen!

Although the train cannot be in the show due the refurbishment schedule, I would think there will still be a grand "Good Morning" welcome.  I do not know this for sure and I do not know what exactly it would be, but knowing Mickey Mouse, he will want to do something special to welcome his early morning guests.

So, let's give the *worst* case scenario:  You arrive early at Magic Kingdom and the rope drop fanfare is minimal.  You will still be one of the first guests to enter the park and will be able to enjoy your favorite attractions with short wait times.  You just cannot lose when you start your day early in the Magic Kingdom!

Wishing you a magical vacation at Walt Disney World!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
