We are planning a trip to Disney during the week of May 9th. What is the temp usually during that time and also how bad will the crowds be in early May. Thank you for your time.

    Hi Tara!

Thanks for writing and congratulations on your upcoming trip!

May is a beautiful month in Orlando!  While the weather does start to warm up, it's generally not oppressively hot, as it can be in the summer months.  Lows in early May are in the mid-60s, highs are in the mid to high 80s, and the average temperature is about 77 degrees.  In general, the afternoons are sunny and warm, and the mornings and evenings can still be a tad cool, so pack a light jacket or sweatshirt to be safe.  Central Florida hasn't entered it's rainy season yet, so rain is generally not a problem.  To be safe, you can stock up on some ponchos for your family at a local dollar store before heading to Florida.

The crowds in May are moderate because schools aren't out yet, and Epcot will be hosting its annual International Flower and Garden Festival, which is truly spectacular, so be sure to visit!  You are arriving well before Memorial Day Weekend, which generally gets very crowded, so I think you are in for a wonderful visit!

    Have a magical vacation!
