We’re planning a trip to Disney and want to do the dining plan. How many table services are used for character dining?

Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Katherine!

Welcome to planDisney! We are DELIGHTED you stopped by and honored to help you plan your upcoming trip to Disney World! From the moment you arrive, every moment will sparkle with wonder and joy. Whether you're meeting your favorite Disney characters or experiencing thrilling attractions, the fun never stops. Pack your Mickey ears and your biggest smile—your MAGICAL journey will be here before you know it!

First of all, you are going to love the Disney Dining Plan! This is a truly TIGGER-ific way to enjoy delicious meals without worrying about the bill every time you eat. With a variety of enchanting options—from quick bites to character dining—you’ll taste your way through the parks with ease. It’s super convenient and gives you the freedom to focus on fun, not finances. AND, it adds extra pixie dust to your trip with tasty snacks included in the plan.

What a great question! The number of table service credits depends on what character dining experience you choose. The easiest way to find out how many dining credits you will use for each meal is to follow these simple instructions...

    1. At the top of the Dining Page on the Disney World website, click the "Character Dining" button.

    2. Choose the restaurant you would like to experience.

    3. On the restaurant's main page, click "View Dining Plans and Discounts" found on the right side of the page.

    4. Click Dining plans, and Mickey Mouse has outlined how many credits will be used for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

For example, my family's favorite Disney Character Dining Experience is Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. If you have breakfast there (and it's INCREDIBLE, by the way...), you will use one dining credit. If you have lunch or dinner, you will use two dining credits. These credits can change at any time, so it's always wise to check the Disney website each time you plan.

I also recommend you check out the Disney Parks Blog for the most up-to-date information regarding all things Disney! Mickey and his pals have some awesome surprises in store, and we don’t want you to miss a single moment of the MAGIC!

If you have other questions, please do not hesitate to ask. We are here to help in any way!

    See You Real Soon!
