We are planning a trip to Disney in December. We were interested in staying at the Coronado Springs Resort. Can you provide me with the average length of each bus trip for the various parks? Also does the bus pick up in front of the resort?

    Hi Donna,

Coronado Springs is a terrific moderate resort with great pools, dining and a relaxed ambiance. My family stays there frequently, and we find it convenient to all the theme parks. There are four bus stops. On our recent visits, the bus stopped first in the Casitas section, followed by the Ranchos, the Cabanas, then the front of the resort.

We like to stay near the Cabanas bus stop because there's only one quick stop between us and the exit. On return, we get off at the front of the resort, and it's a short walk back to our room.

It should take about 30 minutes or less to reach the entrance of any of the four theme parks.

Some news I'm excited to share: The My Disney Experience mobile app now has a "Get Directions" feature, which gives you all your options and time estimates for moving from place to place on the Walt Disney World property, including how long it takes to walk from attraction to attraction in the theme parks.

The feature just rolled out this summer, so I would expect that it will continue to be refined and expanded in the coming months. This video on the Disney Parks Blog shows how it works.

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We love helping guests make plans for their Walt Disney World vacations. Please let us if we can offer more advice, and enjoy your stay!
