Hi :) We are planning a trip to Disney Dec. 16-21.Do you think this time is the best time to go as far as crowds, or would late August be better. We have been in summer but never to an event or during the holidays.

    Hello Sherry!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a great question!

If you have never visited during the holidays then you must stick with your plans for a December visit! The Walt Disney World Resort completely transforms for the merriest season of all! The Christmas decorations are absolutely beautiful, Cinderella Castle also changes to welcome the holidays and there are so many great events happening that you just can’t miss out on the opportunity to visit during this magical time of the year.

It is a busy period, but you will notice that more Guests will start arriving towards the end of your trip. I believe the busiest time should be between December 22 and January 1st. My favorite activities for the holidays at the Walt Disney World Resort are Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom Park, and Candlelight Processional and Holidays Around the World at Epcot. A separate ticket is required for the party, but the events at Epcot are included with park admission.

Moms Panel tip: try booking a Candlelight Processional Dining Package. There are amazing participating restaurants and you get to enjoy guaranteed seating to watch this stunning holiday show.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Sherry. I hope this helps you plan unforgettable Christmas memories.

    Best magical wishes,
    Thiana
