Andrea from Vienna Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I am planning our trip to Disney California. Where can I find the height restrictions to the attractions? How many months in advance can I book tickets? Thank you!

Hello, Andrea! Welcome to planDisney! Your visit to The Happiest Place on Earth will be here before you know it, so let's get you an answer.

You can find the height requirements for attractions at the Disneyland Resort theme parks in two locations - the Disneyland Resort website and the Disneyland Mobile App. On the Disneyland website, you can find height requirements here.

Andrea, in the Disneyland Mobile App, click the pin drop icon on the bottom toolbar of the home screen - it's the icon second from the left. This opens the Disneyland Resort map. From the map, click "Filter" in the top left and it will give you options to filter by height, age, thrill factor, and more! This is perfect when you are in the parks and want to find the closest ride you can all jump on as a family.

Here are the height requirements for some of the attractions at the Resort.

    Disneyland Park

    38" (97 cm) or taller
    Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run

    40" (102 cm) or taller
    Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
    Space Mountain
    Tiana's Bayou Adventure
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

    42" (107 cm) or taller
    Matterhorn Bobsleds

    46" (117 cm) or taller
    Indiana Jones Adventure

    Disney California Adventure Park

    32" (81 cm) or taller
    Mater's Junkyard Jamboree
    Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters

    40" (102 cm) or taller
Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT!
    Radiator Springs Racers
Silly Symphony Swings (tandem swings only)
    Soarin' Around The World

    42" (107 cm) or taller
    Goofy's Sky School
    Grizzly River Run
Redwood Creek Challenge Trail (rock wall and zip line only)

    48" (122 cm) or taller
    Incredicoaster

Andrea, a Cast Member will likely check the height of any smaller Mouseketeers at the entrance to any attraction with the height requirement. I like to check my kid's height before we join the line to avoid any unnecessary waiting (and tears later on if they aren't quite tall enough!).

I hope this information helps you plan a most excellent day filled with adventure. Please let me know if you need any more help!
