Planning trip to Disney August 2009. Four adults and one child (7 yrs old). Do I need to call now and make reservations for various resturants? We will be staying at DAK Kidani village.

    Hi Angela,

I'm going to be at Animal Kingdom Villas Kidani Village in August too!  Be sure to say hi if you see me walking around with two blonde little boys!  I'm so excited to see the new resort!

You can make advanced dining reservations up to 90 days before your arrival by calling the Disney Dining Line at (407) 939-3463.  (In 2008 Disney transitioned its dining booking window from 180 days to 90 days.) I recommend making ADRs for whatever table-service restaurants you are planning on visiting to ensure that you are able to secure a table and minimize your wait times.  While reservations are not always necessary, and August tends to be a bit slower than July, it can still be crowded, and ADRs will help facilitate a smoother trip, in my opinion.  So, put a Mickey sticker on your calendar for the 90 day mark and start planning your dining choices!

    Have a great trip!
