Hi we are planning a trip for December of this year. I was wondering which of these five hotels would you recommend with a 3yrS and 7yrD.. Wilderness Lodge, Poly, All star Music/ Pop cent., or POFQ? What about food? Deluxe DP vs. QSDP?

Hello Danielle and thanks for your question. You didn't mention anything about a budget so I'm going to assume that isn't a concern at this point.  From the resorts you listed, I would probably go with the Polynesian.  I just love the atmosphere at the Polynesian and you'll have easy monorail access to Magic Kingdom and Epcot.  You can also walk to the Transportation and Ticket Center which you may find as an added convenience.

That being said, you didn't mention when in December you are planning your trip.  If you are planning for the week between Christmas and New Year's, I'd also like you to consider the Contemporary.  When staying at the Contemporary, you can easily walk to/from Magic Kingdom.  This will be an added benefit when the crowds and transportation lines are large.

As far as the dining plans, I actually prefer the one in between the two you listed - the basic dining plan - which will provide you one table service, one quick service and one snack for each night of your stay.  I find that this is plenty of food for our family.   However, if you think you'd like to dine at more than one table service restaurant each day, by all means go forward with the deluxe dining plan (if it's in your budget).  I'm actually not a big fan of the Quick Service plan as I don't think it's cost effective and you would have to pay out of pocket for any table service meals.

I hope this helps - please let us know if you have follow-up questions.  Diane
